New to redeemer?
HERE IS A QUICK RUNDOWN
First, welcome! We’re not sure how you found out about Redeemer—from a friend, from a search engine, or from seeing our church sign. Whatever brought you here, we’re glad you’re here and glad you’re taking a few minutes to look around and find out more about Redeemer.
Our Sunday morning worship starts at 10:00 am:
We sing together (a mix of traditional hymns and contemporary songs)
We pray together
We spend time together studying God's word, the Bible
We take the Lord’s Supper together each week
Overall, the service takes about 90 minutes. We’re usually done between 11:30 and 11:45 a.m.
Please wear whatever is comfortable for you. Most folks will be dressed casually.
When you arrive, someone will greet you and help you with a name tag and a cup of coffee. They will also be available to answer any questions you may have about child care or other needs.
We are committed to helping parents feel inspired, encouraged, and well-supported as they raise their children in the faith.
All classes use Gospel Project curriculum to point children to gospel truth throughout the whole of scripture. Same lesson for all ages, taught at age appropriate levels with caregivers who are committed to sharing and showing the love of Jesus.
Nursery: Birth-approximately 1 year of age (until the child begins walking). Caregivers cuddle, rock, and play with children, as well as provide for their physical needs.
Toddlers: Walkers-Potty Trained. Caregivers supervise free play, have story time, read books, and sometimes craft time.
Preschool Classes: Children engage in supervised free play, have story time, music and prayer time, along with activity and/or crafts that relate to the biblical truth.
Pre K3: Once Potty Trained-4th Birthday.
K4/K5: 4th Birthday-Kindergarten.
Gospel-Zone: 1st-5th Grades. In the Worship service with parents until the sermon. Then dismissed for a Gospel Project lesson (split in two classes…1st-2nd and 3rd-5th) with passionate teachers prepared to point children to Jesus!
We typically begin the service with a song or a hymn of celebration. After a few announcements, we take time to greet one another and to welcome visitors. Don’t be surprised if the people in front of you turn around and introduce themselves. The folks at Redeemer are very friendly!
As part of our worship, we take time each week to reflect on the reality of our sin and our brokenness as human beings, and to confess together our need for a Savior. And we join our voices together singing songs that express our love for God and our gratitude for the cross of Christ.
Bob Lepine and other gifted men preach God’s word to us. We go verse-by-verse through books of the Bible looking at what the Bible says, what it means and exploring the implications of the particular passage for our lives.
The sermon leads us to the Lord’s Supper each week for Communion. As we take the bread and the cup, we remind ourselves each week of the central message of the Christian faith – the message that makes Christianity different from every other world religion. We remind ourselves of the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. As we reflect on the good news that we have peace with God through the sacrifice of Christ on our behalf, we find the grace and strength we need to live for Jesus in a broken world.
We hope you’ll join us soon for Sunday morning worship at Redeemer.
